Nominations Now Open for WTS 2025 Committee Member Positions

We are excited to announce that nominations are now open for WTS 2025 Committee Positions. Get involved in our organization and help support our mission as the only organization dedicated to the support and advancement of women in the field of cardiothoracic surgery. Nominations close on November 30, 2024 and the new WTS Committee members will be announced at the WTS Reception at STS 61st Annual Meeting in January.

 The current Committee Chairs have identified goals for the coming year, and we are seeking members to join these committees. Open committee member positions include:

• Awards and Scholarship Committee Member (2): The current goals of the committee are to streamline the Scholarships processes and open up new scholarship opportunities.
• Corporate Sponsorship Committee Member (2): To assist with obtaining corporate funding to support activities of the WTS.
• Program Committee Member (4): To assist with the planning of the WTS Annual Conference
• Research Committee Member (1): To develop and conduct new research projects to amplify issues faced by women in CT surgery; To support the plans for a standalone WTS meeting with help in constructing a research/abstract component of that meeting. Looking for a cardiac faculty member.
