“I am a Latin American academic thoracic surgeon away from home since 2012. It has been a long journey to finally land in the US. Though far from my family, they are my rock. I have been blessed by the gift of loving what I do and the pleasure of being able to share with others career opportunities. The dream is to continuously support female surgeons from low-income countries to be the best version of themselves. I am grateful to my patients, colleagues, family and friends for all my achievements.
