This document is a list of WTS members who are interested in mentoring young women who may be planning a future career in cardiothoracic surgery. To find a mentor, check for the location, practice focus, and area of advice that best fit your needs. Then e-mail that cardiothoracic surgeon with the following in the subject line: WTS Mentoring Request. If that surgeon does not respond, please contact Nancy Puckett, WTS Executive Director, at npuckett@sts.org, and she will find a compatible mentor. Good luck with your career in cardiothoracic surgery. - Visit the Association for Women in Science for a valuable mentoring resource.

WTS Scholarship
The 2010 scholarship application process is now closed. Thank you for your interest; stay tuned for information on the 2011 award.
The WTS scholarship program has awarded $49,500 and 33 scholarships since 2005. In awarding this annual WTS scholarship, Women in Thoracic Surgery is fulfilling one of its stated missions "to enhance the education of women thoracic surgeons." Click here for more information.
